The
District Rural Development Agency, Angul came into existence in the
redrawn map of Orissa with effect from First April,1993 having
bifurcated from the erstwhile Dhenkanal D.R.D.A a society under
the Societies Registration Act,1860, was registered on 02.07.93
bearing registration No.AGL2-2 of 1993-94 .The Governing Body of the
D.R.D.A has been reconstituted in pursuance of letter No.IRD/2929
dated 17.03.1997 of Panchayat Raj Department.
Special beneficiary Oriented Schemes, Wage Employment
Programmes and Area Development Programmes are being implemented by
the department of Rural Development through the District Rural
Development Agencies. The following schemes constitute the special
Component Plan under DRDA.
