To provide food security and ensuring availability of essential commodities at Govt. price to all section of the society, particularly to the poorer of the poors, backward classes, destitute, old and incapable person.
P.D.S.
To make available all essential commodities at subsidized rate to all the identified consumers of the society with an aim to ensure food security to all and to create a hunger free nation through public distribution system.
Enforcement
The main objective of enforcement is to check diversion of P.D.S commodities to black market or open market. To streamline the P.D.S and it’s smooth functioning, the District and Sub-Divisional enforcement squad are being formed for regular checking and raid the PDS outlet for fair distribution and to check adulteration and to take action against unscrupulous trader, profiteer and black marketers.
Paddy procurement
The main objective of paddy procurement is to help the farmers/cultivators to sale their food grain in the Government prescribed price and easy marketable of paddy through different agencies.
Consumer Welfare
The scheme aim at awaring and educating consumers in various ways and means to protect them from harassment of unscrupulous traders, businessmen, manufacturers and service providers.

Food Security
AAY Rice-
Under the scheme 35 kg. of rice is provided to the AAY beneficiaries in a month @ Rs.2/- per Kg.
Annapurna-
Under the scheme, 10 kg of rice is provided to a beneficiary monthly on free of cost.
BPL rice-
Under the scheme 30 kg of rice per card per month from October, 2010 @ Rs.2/- per kg. is provided to the BPL beneficiaries. Previously it was @ 25 kg per card per month.
Village Grain Bank-
To provide food stuff (Rice) to the needy beneficiaries of remote and in-accessible pocket at the time of natural calamity @ Q 40.00 Rice to each Grain Bank.
Public Distribution System
Under this scheme –
BPL Sugar @ 2 kg per card are provided to the BPL and AAY beneficiaries @ Rs.13.50,
APL wheat @ 15 kg at Urban areas and 10 kg at Rural areas are provided to the APL beneficiaries @ Rs.7.00 per kg.
BPL rice is distributed to the inmates of SC/ST Hostels @ Rs.2/- per kg.
APL rice is also provided to the inmates of Jails @ Rs. 6.30 per kg.
S.K.Oil is provided to all BPL, AAY and APL consumer @ 4 ltrs. Per card @ Rs.12.30 per ltr.
Paddy Procurement
Under this scheme paddy are procured from farmers at Govt. rate through different agencies and delivery of resultant custom Milled rice (CMR) by OSCSC Ltd and through Levy route by millers.
Consumer Welfare
Under the scheme, the consumers of the society are awarded and educated about the prevailing of different Govt. scheme and there legitimate claim and right there-to.
Enforcement
Under this scheme, squads are formed to check diversion of essential commodities to black market and to make available of the PDS commodities to the consumer at their door point (village) regularly and timely.
